UBHAS is a Social and Cultural Organization engaged in various Indo-Nigerian Social Activities started on 29th August 1999.

It was basically created to represent the North Indian States of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarranchal, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. It was to bring closer the North Indians of these states and to interact with them through their unique culture and language.

On 29th August the first ever non official meeting of UBHAS took place at Geeta Mandir, Illupeju, leaded by the founders: Sri Ravitosh Shukla and Sri Somesh Rastogi, where the basic outline of UBHAS were discussed. Finally UBHAS came into existence after the joint acceptance of 28 members present at the meeting.

An opinion was formed for the Executive Committee for the Year 1999 on 29th September 1999, and thereafter UBHAS has been conducting AGM and election for the Executive Committee Members annually.

1. To uplift the use of 'Hindi' language as much as possible.

2. To nourish the unique North Indian Culture in Nigeria.

3. To interact/ help the Weaker Section of the Nigerian Society and exhange Cultural Values.

4. To help the Members in unseen/emergency situations to the best possible.

Ethos: To do our utmost to support community welfare programs undertaken by Indian and other nationalities for upliftment of the weaker & underprivileged segment of the Nigerian society.
